Is any of this pay-to-win?
Does a rank let me buy my way into every event?
No. Guaranteed entry is Premium-only and hard-capped at half the open slots, so free players always have room in every draw. Ranks tilt the ticket odds and skip you ahead when the server's full. They don't buy the win.
Is Premium a rank?
It's a monthly subscription, not a rank. The colour-pick +, guaranteed entry, and the name-colour picker stack on top of whatever rank you already have, including no rank at all.
How does the upgrade credit work?
Buy Hotshot now, decide you want Legend later, and we credit the $9.99 you already spent, so Legend runs you $15.00 instead of $24.99. One rank at a time; the credit is the price of the lower rank you currently hold.
Will my chat icon and colour show during a match?
In a live game your team tag takes priority, so rank icons and name colours step aside and team colours read clean. Everywhere else on Meltdown they're on.
